Onyx core with deep garnet rim. Nose of boysenberries, blackberries, and blueberries layered with heavy cream, candied bacon, and baking spices. Following closely are earthy notes of pine needle, chaparral, and roasted herbs with a hint of jalapeño pepper commingled with spicy tobacco and a waft of brandied currants. Mouthfeel is broad, dense, and rich with a full body and vibrant yet contained tannins.
