Cointreau review
It is a citrus liqueur with strong flavor and aromas of lemon, orange, orange zest, grapefruit and vanilla. It is pretty strong and sweet liqueur. It is greta to enjoy neat, chilled, or use in the cocktails.
The classic triple-sec
This is a must if you have a home bar or if you enjoy working on cocktails at home. Every bar will carry cointreau or perhaps a variation of the liquid orange gold. Goes beautifully in most cocktails and is readily available at most good liquor stores. Goes beautifully with a brandy or added to whiskey with bitters to form a nice fruity cocktail, but it's a lovely base to many a cocktail. Very smooth, sweet and infused with lovely pithy orange bitterness.
Overpriced version of Triple Sec
Cointreau is a delicious orange liqueur, excellent as an aperitif. However if you want to use it as a mixer for cocktails, spare you wallet and buy Triple Sec instead. The vast difference in price is not reflected in the flavor.
