Great mixer!
Excellent coconut flavor! Goes really well with coke or Dr pepper, if your wanting your soda just a little bit sweeter!
I have a weird reaction to this drink
This drink has been a weird part of my life. My friends love it so, naturally, I tried it to see what the fuss was all about. The thing is, it's not that bad of a rum... but it smells like sunscreen! It's so weird because my nose says no, but after i drink it, i kind of like it.
No Pina Colada is the same without it.
I have a special place in my heart for Malibu Coconut, held very closely to the same spot as the beach. It is the first ingredient in any tropical drink I make and in my opinion it just isn't 'tropical' without it. Heck, in a pinch, a splash of orange juice in it and a lawn chair is enough to make you feel like your vacay just started. It also happens to be my go-to drink when I am at home and needing a mini spring break.
My Top Choice
Malibu Rum with lime is my go-to drink when I'm out! It is a perfect sipping liquor on its own or with citrus added in, which helps balance out the intense sweetness. It is also fabulous in mixed drinks and sangrias.
Take me to Hawaii
Man i will be the first to tell you i hate the taste of coconut but this drink right here mixed with pineapple juice shwew thats some tropical and tasty deliciousness.
Island living!
We get rum and cokes with Malibu at the bar because a) it tastes like you're at a beach b) it's delicious and c) doesn't get you quite as buzzed as quickly as other drinks... such good stuff. Not a big fan of the other flavors but the classic is where it's at!!!
Gross on it's own but tolerable in mixes
Goodness am I not a fan of this rum. The only positive is that it works when it is mixed with a bunch of fruits or placed directly in a pineapple. Other than that, on its own it does make me very uncomfortable and has the worst hangover, probably because of all the sugar in it. There are better rum's out there in the market.
Malibu coconut rum bring the tropical to you.
This rum is perfect for those nites when you want to have a girls night in and feel like you are on a tropical island! For some reason this rum always make me think of sunscreen. Maybe it's the coconut smell? It really is a good rum though. Here's something else you might do with this rum. Make cupcakes! With a little bit of this rum and some Cream cheese icing, you are in heaven.
A good little mixing liqour
This is perfectly fine neat, it's just so one note I couldn't imagine wanting to sip on it as is. It benefits from being mixed into drinks, even soda for a little coconut flavor or alternatively into a cocktail, like used in place of white rum in a mojito for a coconut mojito. Or with seltzer and mint for a nice refreshing spritz. Makes a decent mix for lemonade and coke in particular because of the overall coconut flavor. Nicely price and available just about everywhere, delicious in a pina colada!
