Ballast Point Brewing's Sculpin IPA is a great example of what got them into brewing in the first place. After years of experimenting, they knew hopping an ale at five separate stages would produce something special. The result ended up being this gold-medal winning IPA, whose inspired use of hops creates hints of apricot, peach, mango and lemon flavors, but still packs a bit of a sting, just like a Sculpin fish.

Overpowered by grapefruit
Alright so I decided to try this IPA since it has a very high rating, but for some reason it is overpowered by the grapefruit taste and make's it a less enjoyable IPA to me. I like other beers from Ballast Point, but this one didn't do it for me.
