Good tasting, price iffy
There's a billion names in Kentucky straight bourbons out there and as someone who's always seeking the unknown this fit the bill for me, even if it was a bit more pricey than I really like to pay initially for an untested brand. This came on a recommendation for something I was seeking -- I wanted stronger oak finish in a bourbon. This definitely is intense oak forward... you won't miss it! The long finish is what will keep you coming back. Nutmeg and caramel are pronounced but fruity all the same. But it does lack in complexity that I've tasted in other small batch bourbons. It's the all are welcomed" neighborhood bar of bourbons... something in the taste for bourbon connoisseurs

It is a decent whiskey with a lot of flavor, hence, for some even too much. It does have significant aromas and taste of smoke, cinnamon, cloth. perfect for whiskey cocktails because of its flavor notes.
