Glenmorangie Private Edition 7: Milsean

Glenmorangie Milsean is the latest release from their award-winning Private Edition range. It is a strikingly different single malt whisky which is sweet, spicy and spectacular, brimming with intense candied fruit flavors.

Its remarkable copper beech colour is the result of its aging in very special casks which were created just for this whisky expression. There’s an almost thick buttery texture to it with hints of tingling spices and chili, then luscious honeyed flavors followed by a mix of tart plummy fruit, candied orange peel, cherries, angelica and then yet more fruits: peaches, nectarines, plums and melon. The finish is considerable: long lasting and spicy, always with that complex sweetness in the background, suggestions of ginger, brown sugar, sweet tobacco and cake mix.
